Each night I beg my Muse to sleep... but to my bed it still does creep. It pays no heed to pass of time... but still does fill my head with rhyme. Next to my head the clock does glow... but through my pen the words do flow. From lack of sleep I just can't think... Oh Bless the Lord, I'm out of ink. --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |

Tennessee, you just turned a difficult challenge into your poem which is short and simple and yet speaks volumes!...this is a post most of us can identify with...the nagging little voice that demands attention from you late at night when you just want to rest....the will to write but since its late at night, you can't really focus...love the ending...nice dose of humour my attempt "One syllable poem(for parker's challenge) in Open#8 is probably not as good as yours but i still hope you read and comment(that is,if u can spare the time) |

This is so cute...and so frustrating...I'm just so happy not be all a-struggle--aghh..that's right..a damned sestina awaits..."It's always something...," said rosanne rosannadanna, "if it's not one thing, it's another..." |

Your poetic creativeness follows you to bed too. Well I think this is a real cute poem. Not having any ink is only going to prolong the inevitable. |

Poet deVine -- Thank you muchly! kaile -- Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my poem. I do get so tired of that nagging little muse, but oh do I miss it when it's not around. I read yours and really enjoyed it. Will post response. serenity -- It is very frustrating indeed. Often times my muse gives me only a phrase that bounses around in my head and I am left to struggle for the rest. ethome -- Thank you for your kind response. I guess with computers, lack of ink is no longer a valid excuse. Hmmm...I'll have to think of another. hehehe Marge -- Thanks a bunch. Your remarks always mean a lot to me. This is about the same time I posted last night so maybe my muse will bless me again. Eric -- Thank you for your kind response. Parker -- I'm glad you liked it. I have a stubborn muse who very seldom cooperates. Ah, but at least for the moment I have one. --You can either take me as I am...or you can watch me as I go.-- |
