Moving Day (Disintegration of a suthern belle)

Squinting to see the road ahead
Through tear blurred eyes
Sensory overload,
My soul screams and cries
Each revolution of the tires
Breaks my heart
Leaving all I am behind,
I'm ripped apart.

Neatly packaged boxes
Contain all I own
But I left my love behind,
Crated and alone
An unworthy offering
Is all it's ever been.
It's one thing I will not need
For I won't try again.

Aching for what might have been
Wondering what awful sin
Dooms me to this agony...
This wasn't what was 'sposed to be.

A blue eyed baby's farewell kiss
All my silly dreams of bliss
Already memories
In this dark abyss.
I'm heading full speed towards despair
No, wait -
I'm there.

Suthern~
Great big *HUGS* sweetie.
It seems that this aches.
Guess we've all been on the
road to despair and then we
find a road on the map that
takes us to happier places.
*HUGS*, hon

Thank you for your kind comments. Opening PIP was far more comforting than the "welcome packet" that was waiting on my counter... even if I don't comment much for a while, I appreciate you all... very much!
I can't say I'm feeling much better yet... for the only one who even gives Toe any competition for my affections is just 20 months old... Now I'm far away from both and miss them with every breath. *S* And we've noted before that I'm a shadow... but with no one to follow, a shadow has no substance, no reason for existence. *S*
By the way... "hell" and "move" are synonymous to a packrat! LOL

Marge: Thanks for the hugs... and if you have a copy of that map, please FedEx it to me immediately! *G*

Janet Marie: My heart resides in the east... so I'd love to drive towards the morning sun! *G* Thank you...

Sudhir, Mike, and Prometheus: Thank you! My thoughts have been so jumbled lately I don't make sense to myself... your "well written" is appreciated!

Little Chick: What can I say but I love you... for I do! HUGS!

Corazon: But if I look up, I trip over boxes? (puzzled look) And I already have so many bruises that people look at me strangely... I just tell them my belongings won the fight! *G* I love you, gal...

Y'all take care... and thanks for putting up with my moaning. I promise I won't wallow forever. *G*

Moving and hell are one in the same! For someone who's moved an awful lot I can definitely relate! Though it may not be for the same reasons.

Hon, we all wallow, and that's alright. We're with ya! How many times I cried when moving, it's just really hard on me. I'm one who gets used to it and then hates to change it. I survived them, you will too. Maybe it's for the better.  Big hugs to you Suthern! You almost got me in tears here...
Love ya!

Ah suthern, you need to join PdV's "pity party" but I forget which Forum she put it in! Probably in the Alley!

Hugs to you, little one! I've moved many times, there is both heart ache and heart dance to be found!

Darnit, Suthern girl, I was so happy to see your name and now so sad that you're going through so much. I don't know why it is that the worst things always happen to the best people but I feel for you. Life does have strange twists and turns, though. Don't give up....for what little it matters, you've got US! I would love some day to experience the love you have felt and given......

You wallow as much as you like and just when you like or even need to cause what else are friends for but to help make a tiny smile or let it be known that if distance was no object then hugs would be plentiful...

I worry about you so was pleased to see this post tonight, I know it's not much fun rebuilding a life and in a strange place as well and new job but that little determined spirit in me says: ok, it's a new place so no one knows my bad habits; it's a new job so I can be the best that ever at bringing in results; it's a new hovel so I can make it a small palace and best of all - I still have my friends that know the real me, the person who cries and defends you and loves you...ooops, are you clucking?..

Sweet dreams MotherHen
