After the Hug What would I see upon your face when you take me in your warm embrace would the words that I just heard you speak race across your reddening cheek? Would I feel the lie within your arms or only feel your deceptive charms? For in my heart I heard the lie, and in your arms hold back my cry. O my love, how could you leave and why would you want to deceive? What now is this in your light caress? Would on your face I see duress? Oh I feel my breaking heart at the lie you now impart, and I will now impress on you long ago I had the clue. It was in your haunting voice when it broke it left no choice and I'll not hold you next to me because your face is but a memory. ©KRJ 22 June 2000 [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 06-22-2000).] |

We never know what's on the face of the deceiver in a hug, do we? Thank you for your comments, Sudhir, always look forward to them... Sunshine ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ |

However, a good hug is a good hug.. Sad poem though.. *huggies* Geir -- "Luck affects everything. Let your hook always be cast; in the stream where you least expect it there will be a fish." Ovid (BC 43-18 AD) |

You are so right, FlyHigh...the idea came from a show last night, where the guy was saying he "loved her" then the viewer sees the real face on him when he gives her a hug...deceit all the way... But, I'll bet you're like me, and don't give a hug without it meaning the real thing! Thanks! Sunshine ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ |
