Tears in the NightA familiar song's stinging brings sorrow tonight as these wistful, wishful words I cannot help but write fall freely to page, remindful to me of the comfort, the ease of your delicacy "In the Arms of an Angel" I have fallen, spent within the moistened moans of loving's scent Lain awakened to your breathing and every sigh every word, every syllable, each shudder, each cry I remember such heaven with pleasureful pain to think that we'll not live to kiss again In the passage of time the fallings have flown farther away than we both could have known And the singing will end and the violins fade we'll hold on alone, with our hearts worlds away And the trickle, the tremble, the flickering light will glow with the glistening of tears in the night Claire |

Claire, this is stunning work with beautiful sorrow woven in. "I remember such heaven with pleasureful pain to think that we'll not live to kiss again In the passage of time the fallings have flown farther away than we both could have known" Ah, I too have gone through this....a job well done Claire. *Krista Knutson* "Cherish your vision; Cherish your ideals; Cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts. If you remain true to them, your world will at last be built." ~James Allen~ "We've made houses for hatred...it's time we made a place where people's souls may be seen and made safe"...~Jewel~ |

"In the arms of the angel Far away from here From this dark, cold hotel room, and the emptiness that you fear. . ." Claire, this has to be the most wonderful poem of yours that I have read. . . The longing and the sorrow are just so delicate here. . . me heart aches along with yours. . . Claire, you know that I have always loved your poems! Each one better than the next, but I absolutely love this poem, it is exceptional. Sadly, I relate all too well to the feelings expressed here, and you express them perfectly with an added flair. What can I say that the others haven't already said. I'll just give you a standing ovation my friend. Take care, Melissa Honeybee |

I would have to agree with so many others...this is exceptional. The words are beautiful, the mood sorrowful and longing. Great work, Claire. Marie~ |

"Thank you" seems inadequate, but I don't know what else to say. You all are very kind, and I thank you for letting me know, in such sweet fashion, how you enjoyed this piece. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

~Claire i must agree with jan...perfection was penned in this one! simply breathtaking in my opinion! While it was laced with sadness, it was also filled with beauty. A true and rare of work you have created here! You made this heart smile. Thank you very much! Take care. Amy "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." "Fate exists but it can only take you so far, Because once you're there It's up to you to make it happen." |
