Autumn Days I walk this path through mystic morning haze When damp of earth meets tumbling paper leaf The crimson sails and golden yellow page Drop down through sentimental mists of grief To pathways through the autumn of my age So heavy laden are these leaves with tears The parchments once were brilliant dancing wings So finely scrolled with verses through the years Now empty withered leaves swirl round in rings As rainbow colored poems have disappeared Dare I step once again on "Poets Way"? May I again embrace a poet pen? Will sorrow grant me just this autumn day To write some glorious verses once again On gold and crimson leaves in fall array And will my words on paper leaf sail light And settle on the path in colors bright Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, Need I say we make the day. Need I say we make the night. Need I say we make our way. Need I say of wrong or right. You were born with beauty and are beautiful. As is the poem. Love Sy |
