Perhaps Perhaps F. Lee Bailey could argue my case or the United Nations could negotiate in my place. I simply don't know how or where to begin to win a heart that seems determined not to let me enter in. She was hurt and abused by a man who didn't really love and appreciate all she possessed and wanted to share. A husband that only used her and a mother-in-law that took her sons side and didn't seem to care. So she protected her heart with bullet proof armour. She took every precaution to assure no man would ever again harm her. Perhaps if I really care for her as I say she will begin to trust and admire me on some future day and the past will be that and she will be free to let go of all the hurt and pain her damaged heart has known. Perhaps then she can reach out for love and understanding again and no longer be alone. I would give all I possess to soften her heart. Perhaps a dozen roses would be a good place to start. This is a very nice piece, Jimmy! You're definitely is one of Passion's romance experts. I hope that she opens up to you because you seem like the right person. Thanks for sharing! Nathan |

Roses would be nice James, but your friendship and trust I think would be better. Time heals wounds, people heal hearts. She needs to build her self confidence back up so she can love herself and eventaully love another. Hopefully you!!! When you write from your heart, you do it beauifully. Thank you Sudhir, Nate, Marina, and Tennessee. Perhaps you enjoyed reading this..ha..ha.. Marina I understand the friendship and trust because that is exactly what I am looking for. I also need self confidence. Tennessee I have given her my book of poetry titled "My Heart to Yours". It has 87 poems that I have written with at least 10 poems written specifically for Lena....including one of my favorite poems "The One". She will get those dozen roses because she has softened my heart so much. I am waiting for the right time...hopefully soon...my heart will tell me when...James |

Ah James ... Wonderful poem and emotions expressed here! I just wrote one called "Safely in Dreams" ... I tried to capture the thoughts whirling about in someone's mind ... perhaps similar to those of your lady love? She'll open up in time, just continue to be your sweet, loving self, and she'll see you for the wonderful man you are! Your poetry will soften her heart before long James! Best wishes and hopes for you, /Kit [This message has been edited by Kit McCallum (edited 06-22-2000).] |

James, I have to agree with the others on the roses. Hold off on anything strong. She sounds like she needs a friend with no pressures at all and the roses may start the first brick in a new wall. Your poem would be the perfect place to start. If you are dead set on the roses; make sure they are not red on the first ones. Great poem by the way and I wish you well no matter which path you take. |

Mark I couldn't agree more that she needs a friend without any pressure...I myself feel the need to wait with those flowers...but I still have the desire to give her flowers...maybe when the day arrives I will give her an assortment of tropical flowers. Thanks for responding to the poem. James |
