Echoes They speak to me in shaded dreams, In ever changing subtle themes, Conveying darkness into light, The essence of the echoes flight. Cavorting in a time to be, Searing fire that scorches me. Liaison of echoes cast, Sending sounds of times long past. They caress me with craving hand, They clasp me to the space I stand. Never quiet, never still, Always asking of my will. Ghostly mimics night and day, Generations passed away. Haunting me my futures frame, Winding youth into a flame. Like birds of soar that ever cast, So fly the echoes of the past. |

Echo is one of those words that was created for poetry-- me thinks ... like the cryptic and just sweetly haunted feel to this... those voices from the past ... always there whispering to us... whisper ... another poetically perfect word me thinks later sweet-Sy-gator jm |

Haunting thoughts sneak through, resounded within this cluttered mind, as I hear echoes, Cryptic tales announced to these ears, surrounded by characters from yesteryears, hyped as rainbows, A wishing well, I drop a coin into, a clink of metal hitting the bottom, so shallow, Past memories fly by, childhood went too soon, I think of yesterday's bitter and sweet moments, with pride, I swallow... ....... IF I continue like this I might end up cribbing about the whole world instead of praising you wonderful work here Seymour... Beautiful work here, really enjoyed this (is that not obvious??) regards, sudhir [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (edited 06-19-2000).] |

Your writing gets better and better... you say so much, with such passion and honesty while crafting a poem with meter/rhyme/& theme working together.. so fluid and adept. Wonderful work, Sy! |
