I'm always fattening up the squirrels, Feeding them top shelf food, Some come individually, Others bring the whole brood. They have their own little feeder, But they eat the birdseed too, Constantly filling their faces, Without taking the time to chew. Now they've broken into the garage, And found where I hide the stash, They've learned to pull off the sealed lid, That falls everytime with a crash. The noise doesn't seem to bother them, As they dive in head first to eat, Pulling out a handful of raisins, Then finding themselves a seat. I'm leary of running out of food, Afraid they'll break into the house, And eat what I've fixed for dinner, Which, for sure, would not please my spouse. So, I'm luring them into the neighbors yard, With a trail of peanuts and seed, Sneaking out there in the dark, To make sure they have what they need. Soon her yard will be alive, With little squirrels to brighten her day, She better know to keep feeding them, Or in her kitchen, get out of their way! |

How rude to make your neighbor suffer with your squirrels. Then again you could just capture them in a jar and let the cat have them.....HA HA.... |
