In the space between moments

0 posted 2000-06-17 12:38 PM

Night swallows the horizon
In a roaring cobalt cloud
Lemon sunrays softly scatter
With dark's oncoming shroud...

Absence looming deep within
Drapes the sky with ice
Only hollowed dreams remain
And therefore must suffice...

Silver snowdrifts lightly roll
'Neath moonlight's gentle yawn
Here within the broken thoughts
Unnoticed is the dawn...

Lightening streaks across the black
And golden fingers gleam
Upon a moment truth is known
And hope becomes redeemed...

A silhouette within the dark
Shimmers in translucent light
My weary soul knows that it's you
Who's frame is shining bright...

Diluted reverie now restored
By the glimmer of your eyes
And caught within your loving arms
We watch the tempest skies...

Krissa~

Beautiful poem.  Between your poems and your stories I find myself trying to get through the days without them when you don't have any new ones.  I said YAY! when I found this one, and It was wonderful!  Yay for thunder and lightning..  excelent job.

Krista,
You have very closely observed the onset of the night, it is clear.. the changing colours, and the emotions match to a celestial perfection...

Enjoyed this a lot.

Krista, this is a beautiful poem. Feel lucky that you have someone to watch the tempest skies with.

It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.
