You talk to me But never look at me I have hurt you I know You feel that you are worthless Otherwise why did I go? It's just that you weren't right for me You'd fight with me And show Me how I will become If I don't go If I don't go But I stayed For too many years I became A doormat for your love I was trapped in your needing of me Like a hand In an iron glove But then She came She came to me from nowhere And made me, "me" again She taught me how to care again So now I belong there So Sorry Not enough I know But it's all I can give you now I'm sorry I have to go Love is like the measles.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |

This is very good, I'm glad that you found "you" again, it's easy to get lost altogether so you don't remember who that is anymore...congrats but I also felt the pain that it took to find it...thank you for sharing this. |

What an awesome poem... I'm glad you found the person that made you you again and were able to say goodbye to the other one... Cheers to you, lets hope that you don't ever go through identity loss again. Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Loved the style and the message in this poem...when one chooses to leave a bad relationship of course it hurts but it is done for the good of both...only by looking back years later this truth is revealed. James |

That was a great poem! I'm glad you found yourself again! It is a horrible thing to know who everyone else is, but not know yourself. "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying." Harry Anderson, "Night Court" *Cassandra Roseen* |

Tahnk you to everyone who has replied to this posting. I wrote these few words "on line" in a couple of minutes....but they say everything about how I was feeling at the time. I am so sorry to have hurt someone, but I just had to find myself again. I just hope that I am forgiven eventually. Love is like the measles.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |

You are right Paula...but it also hurts to see the hurt which is suffered by the one you leave behind. We just have to hold on to the knowledge that in the long run it will be better for both partners. Love is like the measles.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |

Thank you very much, for this topic, you have helped me make up my mind on an important dessision, It is good to hear the other side of the story for once as I have not often had to face this dilema myself, but now feel confronted by it . Great poem which was inspiring, imformational, well written and true as life . L.of.L. Tom . Insanity is a perfectly normal responce to an abnormal world -R.D.Laing.- |
