As I sit here alone thinking About the many people in my life I realize just how lucky I am To have you here as a friend You accept me without judgement, For the faulted person I know am Even though that can definitely be Challenging, you never give up. You are always there for me When I need to yell, scream, cry. Listening to my endless ranting Providing an outstretched hand. You comfort me with a caring heart, Knowing when I need you most. You lead to me the right path, With encouragement and love. Your light hearted flowing laugh, Makes me laugh and chuckle. You’ve supported me with a smile. Whenever I’ve need you there I start to realize what I have always known No matter how wonderful and joyous Or how bad and heart wrenching Life has become over time I am a lucky and blessed person Because I have you in my life My closest friend and sister Standing proudly by my side. |

RosePetals~ If you only knew how this reaches in and squeezes my heart ... God gave us a precious gift when He gave us the love and friendship of a sister. I was blessed with two loving sisters - then God took one home this past October ... believe me when I say that I'd give it all up today, just to have her back. Cherish yours ... for there will never be another like her. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

It's so great that you have that kind of a relationship with your sister. Friendship like that is priceless. You've reminded me of a few people I miss with this piece and put me in one of those happy/lonely moods. Great writing RosePetals! Think I'll go make some phone calls... Tony |

Marge - I do cherish my sister very much. I love her dearly and miss her (she lives on the other side of the state so unfortunately the time we spend together is slim.) This is actually and older poem of mine. I am working on a new one for her. I am deeply sorry for your loss. But you know that she is looking down on you, laughing with your joys and crying with your sorrows, supporting you in everyway she can. |
