To Change Or Not To Change

I've dyed my hair
And changed my nose
I've lost the weight
I've struck the pose

I've swiched my friends
And altered my speach
I've bought a mobile
I've extended my reach

You're still the one
Who broke my heart
You lied and cheated
You blew me apart

You've not changed
You're still the same
Thinking I'll return
To play your game

Which proves one thing
For once and all
That You never ever
Knew Me at all

Oh yes I went thru this not so long ago...she does think its all a game...for her part she can do anything she wants for a year and a half and then decide to come back to me and I'll be waiting for her...it takes two to play  that game and I declined...James

That's it exactly James, some people float through life thinking they're the only ones who matter! Oh how wrong they are!!

the answer is...not to change!     if you change everything for the happiness of someone else..you lose who you really are...i've been there too..well, i still have my same nose..  LOL

good one marsha

Wow, sounds like you're better off without this person, what a nice poem!

Marsha,
The verses really portray that you had tried your very best, but alas, a one way street.

This is great!  I wrote one a while ago and this has much the same feel...it's a shame when they never know the inside...that's where it counts and that's what should never change...for anyone!

Dee as usual your insight is a blessing, thank you!

Toddles sometimes wanting isn't enough, but then sometimes nothing would be enough.

Bill Thank you, I'm glad the feelings came through

Buterflies dc, Thank you for your imput. Could you E me your old poem, so I can read it I'd really like to.
