Let me walk with you awhile. Reach out and hold my hand. I've been there a time or two. I've been where you now stand. I can see through your mask. I see the anger in your eyes. The dreams that you portray Are just nightmares in disguise. The webs of subtle deceit Weigh heavy on your mind. And as you turn and take another look You realize, it had been there all the time. What once was a future Is now lost and gone. It happened so quickly And it didn't last long. But know that after every storm Lies a rainbow at the end. Be patient and you will find it And all will be better again. |

Eloise, Great poem! I've always believed that rainbows are a great figure of hope after crisis due to there shining beauty and color. Forgive me for my verbosity. This is one thing I keep in my head. "One can never chase too many rainbows." |
