Somewhere Other Than Gone It's going to be hard to say what's here on my mind Because, Dad, your face has really hit me hard this time And lying here your memory was all I could take Dad, that smile of yours made this sad heart break... I kept thinking where you may have been all along God, how I wish it was somewhere other than gone And last night I waited for you to end these tears But only I found the miles to my lonliest years... Somewhere other than gone I may find you someday But if you are lost out there I'll never find my way You used to hold the promise to us to last forever That true families at heart stay one together... So, with these words and all we have ever gone through Why, Dad, that day, didn't you let me go, too? Because I was told that I must just walk away And how do you think, Dad, I felt that day?... What I really wanted was to close my eyes So, that together and always we'd be side by side But I stood alone and let the angels sing And bared the lifetime sadness your leaving would bring... I'm holding out my hands, Dad, to the heavens tonight So, reach out to me and hold on tight Like before be with me when I can't go on And let me find you, Dad, somewhere other than gone... Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |
