you fell short of me you just missed my enveloping arms and words that mean a million I love you's you didn't know the lightning and thunder rattling in my veins from people just like you before you the users the ones who suck the life out of tender people like me now we don't talk to each other and it's like a metal shield over my mouth like infinite oceans stretched between our hands that once were so entwined now so misused and broken and beaten from words we say and words we never will again |

I love the title, "You Fell Short Of Me" After reading the poem I began to realize that this person did indeed fall short of you. In fact did he ever measure up to you at all except through words disguised as love. The words that cut straight through the heart when they are discovered as being false. Got my vote. Good writing! |

JennieMay~ The title grabbed me - pulled me in - and did not leave me wanting. Nice to see the growth in your writing. Enjoyed this very much. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
