You'll Never Hear Us Say Goodbye With our hands folded solemly below our face We bow our heads in sadness and kneel in place And kneeling here as we close our eyes We must tell you, Dear God, what is on our minds... Two years ago today, you took him with you We know you wanted him, God, but we wanted him too Tell him for us, that even though he's gone There's so much of him that still lives on... Please let him feel the joy he's brought our way And surround him with your sweet angels each night as we pray People in town, they still speak his name And never again will these streets ever look the same... We'll never forget his walk, his talk, and his heart so kind So you'll never hear us do it, you'll never hear us say goodbye Though each minute that passes we grieve a little more For that man you took home, the man we've been so lonely for Wiping the tears that have been falling from our eyes Giving you praise, we look up to the skies Thank you Dear God for that wonderful Husband, Father and Friend In jesus' name we pray. Amen Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |

Saun, this is a touching tribute...I don't know who you wrote this for, but certainly he must have been somebody pretty special to inspire these loving thoughts. |

beautiful Saunni..and I do understand your feelings as mine are still fresh in mind ...will only be three years in Sept...that I lost mine...without ever being able to say good-bye...I kept him alive for a long time..I wrote this at Valentines day last year This was part 3 of a series to and for my Dad...about how I was feeling... Indecision ... Love Undelivered I sometimes buy more than one card for each occasion that comes along. I do this because I find so many that seem just right for that special person I want to send it to. So, I become indecisive and I take them all. Today, as I am searching through my cards for Valentine's Day, I run across ... ~To My Dad on Valentine's Day~ ~To the # 1 Dad on Father's Day~ ~Happy Birthday, Dad~ To My Father on Christmas~ And I am saddened. Sad because now, all that is left are these special cards, loving cards, that I chose especially for my father, no one else, who will no longer be able to receive words of love, that were contained within. And I will no longer be able to see his eyes light up when he opens and reads the words, that I so lovingly chose just for him. Or watch the corners of his mouth turn up, as he lets out a soft laugh, after reading from those cards that have a touch of humor to them. How I wish now, that I had gathered, signed and delivered all of them to him in the last days he was with us. sighhhhh ... Wishes get you nowhere. But now that I have decided to leave my Xmas tree up for Valentine's Day, I think I will take all of my cards meant for 'Dad,' and write my loving messages on them, as I would have, place beautiful ribbons on each and attach them to my Valentine Tree of Love. And I hope that he is looking down and he knows they were meant for him ... that I miss him ... and the hurt is still there ... but lessening every day. M 2/8/99 |
