-Intoxicating- his smile is more intoxicating than the finest of wines, his fingers running across my back send sweet shivers down my spine if I could whisper into his ear sweet thoughts he would hear...would he take the time to listen? if I could see from this place...would I be able to see sadness on his face? for now I cannot caress his cheek...nor feel his embrace....please don't ask me why I have waited so long for a love this strong....the graceful gaze of his eyes his lips bring kisses more intoxicating than wine...will those lips again cross mine and allow our hearts to intertwine? he excited my senses, captured my soul from the first time we met....losing him is now my biggest regret will never be too soon to forget? I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search of. Michel de Montaigne |

That last line is a killer. I think we all have some of that which we would like to forget, but then look at all the beautiful poetry we would miss out on. Sort of an irony for the poets' passions. Loved the read. |

excellent Holly... very cool last verse... sensual and longing emotions in this somethings get under our skin... burn a mark in our soul... you have captured that well here... take care jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. There are places inside our hearts - that need to be loved this much. ~jm~ |

Mark & Elizabeth-Thank you both! It's wonderful (as you both know I'm sure) when others understand what you are trying to get across. I LOVE THAT FEELING! Thanks again! Janet- Thank you for the sweet words. Yes, they do get under our skin & burn from within. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and reply. love & all, -Holly I know well what I am fleeing from but not what I am in search of.
