Melody of my heart, song of my life You came into my life without warning Dispelling my darkness with your light You filled my heart with the beauty of your song Bringing my discordant life into harmony again Sharing with me notes I had not heard in so long From the discarded sketches of my life you found a symphony A work of art and of life long forgotten Found the scattered pages on the floor and gave them back to me My life is so much better now that you have come I no longer fear the darkness as I once did For now I have you here, filling my life with sun Melody of my heart, song of my life Teach me again the song long forgotten Fill my days with your music, and with artistry fill my nights. ----------------------------------------------------------- There are actually 4 "Melody of my Heart" poems. . . 3 are in Open #6 and the 4th is in Dark Passions #1. . . Thank you again to kaile for bringing this challenge back and to all that have taken the time to write poems for it. . . ------------------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Sven... This is beautiful, and melodic!!! As a musician, it 'struck a chord' in my heart...(no pun intended, really). I love the words here, and just the whole poem! ~~~Never say Never!~~~ |

Your poems are almost always a melody of your heart Sven... very wonderful things you bring out in them too... Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |
