Close Your Eyes Close your eyes and look into your heart What do you see in the space of that sphere Do you see children hanging on tightly Is there somebody that you once held dear Is there a family love that abides there Do you see father and mother and son Grandparents, cousins and nieces and nephews Do you see faces of hearts you have won Is there space left to hold a few others People whose voices are calling to you Look deep in your heart and perhaps you can hear them They are the ones that you never knew Close your eyes and hold out your hand Someone will grab it before you can blink Someone is reaching for love and affection A simple gesture does more than you think A kiss and a hug is all that it takes Compassion and caring is only the start A beginning of something that truly will bless you Of friendship and love that can fill up your heart No matter how much love you have given There’s much more to living we must understand It doesn’t take much to make someone happy The strings of your heart are at your command Look into your spirit as deep as you can Then close your eyes and hold out your hand Elizabeth Santos |

Who can see inside their hearts and not truely understand these things we strive for in life, the love the beauty of the summers day all speak to and from the heart. Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling From glen to glen, and down the mountain side The summer's gone, and all the roses falling 'Tis |

Close your eyes and hold out your hand Someone will grab it before you can blink Someone is reaching for love and affection A simple gesture does more than you think This is one speaks straight to the heart and the above portion is definitely my favorite part. If we could all just slow down a bit and show a litte caring in the world oh, how nice it would be. Adored this one. |

Liz, your poem says more than my response could ever impart, except to say thank you for this gifting. Lovely words from you today. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Liz: I love this poem that comes from a truly loving heart. This is how I see it..If we have opened our hearts to God, then our hearts have enough room for as many as he has room for! Love, Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Liz, I think that if we all heeded your wonderful advice to reach out our hands, the world would be a better place. You carry much wisdom in your heart. Nice writing. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
