Yesterday is Gone |

Yesterday where did it go? I don't recall how many hours went by. I seemed to miss the singing of the birds. The sun shining bright. Yesterday is gone. Can you tell me did it shine? Was I blinded by some clouds? Were there rainbows with lots of colors. I just need to know for yesterday is gone. Somewhere I seemed to be hidden in the breeze. Do you remember were the stars twinkling as brightly last night? I watched for them, but still I must have missed them all. Even the shooting star that I wanted to wish upon. Today I thought back on yesterday. I have to say there was a gloominess in the air, still I have to say the thing that got me most of all was that the day went by, without much memory of it ever being here. I know it must have came because today is here and here I sit pondering on the semi-status of it all. Before I know it I'll be in yesterday again so I'll close my pondering for yet another day. But if you recall where yesterday has gone please say hello for me. [This message has been edited by Rosebud1229 (edited 07-20-2000).] |

Rosebud1229, Yesterday, where has it gone? I felt this when I read your poem. Such a lot of meaning about a lost yesterday, which will eventually become today. |

THank you SO much Sauni I enjoy writing and I try to open up my heart to make it possible to relay my feelings sometimes I'm so overwhelmed I'm at a loss for words so I'm so glad you could relate and understand where I'm coming from. |

RoseBud~ I think you captured 'yesterday' and wrote it for us all. Lovely remembrances of a day gone by too quickly ... as they all are prone to do. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

This is a great title for a poem and it drew me right in. And then the awareness of what was missed and it is gone. A wonderful theme. Good writing Liz |

Oh shoot! Now I have "Yesterday"'s tune running through my head...just what I needed...more Beatles music! I know what it is like to see the kids grown [and gone]... but do look forward, Rosebud, to all of your tomorrows...just don't wish them away!
