Prismed Tear

Teardrops fall from a heart now slain
Ones that heal as some would say
Brought to life from lost love's pain
Emptiness and sorrow being swept away

Clouds of memories parting your soul
Shadows crossing through rays of light
Flowing steadily across the grassy knoll
Blue skies smiling as they take flight

Sunbeams piercing droplets of tears
Warming the salty cold of sorrow's taste
Caressing light shining on hidden fears
New hope and desire in which to baste

Rainbows of happiness birthed in life's light
Dispersing darkness as they come so near
For nature will help with your life's fight
As your sorrow becomes a prismed tear.

It is wonderful to be able to look back and see that, even though your poetry is amazing, you have still grown as a poet. Beautiful title, Mark, and the poem does it justice.
