The strangest of strangers sometimes come from
within,
Just when I think I've got it all figured out.
The warmest of moments turns into the coldest
of winds,
And all my securities turn into doubts.
With a flick of my wrist I turn out the lights,
but in the night by the silence I'm bound.
There is no escape, and I know I must listen
to the voices my thoughts have found.
It's my mind that takes off into flight,
leaving me with another sleepless night.
This is the strangest little merry-go-round.
My body has learned to handle the void; it's
not so harsh as the night turns to day.
They say that whatever goes around comes around,
but sometimes it's too much to contain.
I'd trade all the gold that they say silence is,
if I could just have you back here again.

Hi Gem,

This is lovely writing here, and of course sad but it sounds like some lesson were learned, thank you much for sharing and welcome to passions I look forward to more of your work.
