As a young girl, she would dream About fortune and fame She also felt a deep desire... Something she couldn’t name She dreamed of happiness and bliss She could name them all but this With the years, the desire grew Along with her chances of fame As she made her way to the top She dreamed the dream without a name Closer to happiness and bliss In sight was everything but this Finally, she made her break And jetted to her fame And the entire time, she longed For the dream without a name Possessing every single dream But she was missing something, it seemed Reaching out to touch their star They’re screaming, all the same All the time, she is reaching out For the dream without a name Everyone around her cares But there’s still something that isn’t there She got married to a model boy That just seemed so sweet At first, she thought she’d found the dream That would make her life complete She had everything, it seemed Everything but the nameless dream She grew old, and was ready to die She had long ago lost her fame Her final day, she prayed one prayer: To know her great dream’s name Before she took to the heavens above The whispered answer came to her... Love "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde "The robbed that smiles steals something from the thief" -Shakespea |

Very nicely done I guess one would need to experience love before one would know what was missing from ones' life |

Good introduction, body and conclusion with well done lines and verses. The truth that escapes some featured in the last line proves the wisdom of the poem. Fortune and fame are'nt necessarily the answer to eveything. Excellent!! |

Excellent Erica! You had me guessing throughout ... until you revealed her dream at the end. What a perfect message, and beautifully rendered. Loved this! Best wishes, /Kit |

Amazing and sad at the same time. This one goes in my file. Well done and beautifully expressed. |
