Repost As I lay awake in bed The silence of the night only broken by the sound of a distant trains' whistle. That same sound comforting, yet haunting. Like your memory. Close, yet far from view. I hold you close in thought and memory. As I clasp my hands in prayer around my pillow. Wishing for you a safe tomorrow. The train's whistle drifts off into the distance, As your memory fades from view, and I drift off into sleep... |
