Atop the Rocky Mountains high
An eagle soars into the sky.
And as I watch from down below,
The raging river waters flow.

The brilliant colorful wildflowers, swaying in the breeze.
Showing off their beauty, nestled amongst the rocks and trees.
The chromatic wings of the butterfly, dancing from bloom to bloom
As the scent of the wildflowers, imparts a sweet perfume.

As I watch in awe and wonder of this vision tonight.
I witness, what must be, the most beautiful sight.
The sun as it's setting over the Rockies to the west.
The red sky with its pink cotton clouds, truly was the best.

This serenity is mine alone.
As I seek and find that inner glow.
And the enchantment of this exquisite scene
Brings a reality on the wings of a dream.

Eloise,

Sigh . . . what a breathtaking sunset you have painted over the Rockies!!  Feel like I am sitting there beside you.  Fabulous imagery and writing!!!

Eloise~
Exquisitely breathtaking.
What lovely imagery you portrayed in sharing your Rocky Mountain view with us.

Made me think of the wonderful music
of John Denver as he sang of the beauty
of that area.
'Rocky Mountain High' .... oh, such a nostalgic trip you've taken me on.

Thank you - thank you - thank you !
