 ~Lost Love’s Ghost~ You walk into my thoughts with butterfly slippers upon your feet You carry in your wings the dreams we once held so sweet Dancing across my heart like you never retreated from it’s walls Your arms are there with a feathery landing for all of my falls You hold me closely as you stroke my feelings with care Opening the folds of memories that with only you I share We dance among the diamonds that have lain out their special light Within the beams of moon glow retracing the steps in the night Giving me peace in the turmoil of my raging inner storms Beyond the showers of pain a bridge to your rainbow forms Upon the mountains of tragedy you stop me from throwing life away Reminding me that view of sunrise will breathe love of life my way My lover and mate of my soul the one that holds my life in his palm The one that upon crest of crashing waves can make my soul calm I look past the pain when my angel turned to walk from me And retreat to moments of love that last my heart an eternity I cherish moments when he graces my life to become my loving host These are the tranquil moments I share with my Lost Love’s Ghost |
