Walking down the dirt pathway of life, You have bad days that are full of strife. Take this experience straight to the heart, It began with a glance, a stare, a start/ You notice butterflies flying around, Whisping through the air without making a sound. How pretty you can see, How pretty the seem to be. They lead you on and on and on, Until you give in like a newborn fawn. So you let it land on your arm, Thinking of course it will do me no harm. But just as you realize its not what it seems to be, It has hurt you so bad you fall to your knees. The poison coming out of such sweet lips, Caused you to strech forth your fingertips. Not knowing what next is to come, Over in a second...Man I feel dumb. So now that beutiful butterfly, Or it seemed to be. For it has strucken you so now, No more the ability to see. To see the love of the next beutiful creature, To see the eyes, the hair, and every good feature. So now as lifes lessons have taught, This is one of many battles you will have faught. But keep your faith in things to come, Because in the end you'll be sure to get ONE. |
