The List" or The Wee Elf Returns |

Santa's elves were working hard, While reindeer played out in deeryard, For winter snows had long been falling, December's winds would soon be calling. A toyshop full of elfmade toys, To be wrapped for girls and boys, The final touch, a Christmas bow, In Santa's sack, then toy would go. On wee'est elf, the task did fall, To place the bow, done last of all, Santa Claus would then inspect, And on "The List", a name was checked. A few more weeks, 'til Christmas Eve, When Santa and his sleigh would leave, Wee wee elf, was getting tired, For a rest, wee elf aspired. Wee elf fingers, worn to a nub, Each night would soak, in wee elf tub, Santa practiced, Ho Ho Ho'ing, While outside, cold wind was blowing. Rudolph shined his red, red nose, As poor wee elf, saw bow, bow, bows, Then wee elf, to window went, To get some air, wee elf was spent. The wind blew in, "The List" blew out, Through the toyshop, rose a shout, "The List", "The List", what will we do? Into dark night, "The List" it blew. Santa Claus was in a tither, Yelled wee elf, to come quick hither, What can I do, without "The List"? Cried Santa Claus, his eyes a mist. Wee elf came, his feet a scurry, Said to Santa, please don't worry, Last year for Christmas, you gave me, A wee laptop, a wee P.C. Wee elf hit enter, up popped "The List", On wee elf's cheek, Santa kissed. A cheer rang out, throughout toy shop, As wee wee elf, did place atop, The final toy, a wee green bow, As wee elf laughed, a wee Ho Ho. [This message has been edited by Mike (edited 07-02-2000).] |
