A True Lady's Knight ~First Knight~ On blaze of glory and light of day, He rode his steed along the bay. A man of mercy, A man of deed. A man of passion, A man of creed. A silver glint, a flash of light. His armor gleaming, his tunic tight. Sword of justice along his side. With truth and honor, He will abide. Red and white his family crest, Respect to all, He'd give his best. Red stripes of color upon his shield, Known by all while in the field. This field of life, where we all must be. He rides the roads of liberty. To make a difference each day he lives. This his purpose. His life he gives. So ladies of this land so pure. Never trouble should you endure. He will stand by you, In times of need. He will always hear your faithful plead. If you wonder who is this man. And you ask, "Am I in his plan?" I tell you once, and hear me clear, This be the man, who loves you dear. Grace and peace, for those that seek. The man who would His lady keep For if he be your one true love, He 'll do it all, with our Father's LOVE < !signature--> It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Excellent poem, I enjoyed, and it inspired me to write this below: She sits down on the riverside waiting for him to ride on by to catch a glimpse would delight her mind to float away and ride. She'd imagine the joy, the glee to be so precious in one's heart to envision the reasons for love knowing ne'r a dark night to flee. Reality's crest sits close waiting the shadow in the distance fading an illusion to imagine a true knight never mind the value of her own rating. |

Great poem, you should read my poem - ' Hero's Tale ' on open poetry 6 archive, it shows the other side of the bargain and would make an excellent add on to your poem, not that it needs it, I enjoyed reading it, the flow and feeling of the poem was great and it says a lot. L.of.L. Tom . P.s. Could the line ' If you wounder who is this man ' be a reference towards God or am I just reading to much into the poem ?
