I just wanted to peek in and let everyone know that I'm still around and doing fine. This is not what I'd consider as one of my better poems, just a bit of word play. From The Ashes She Flies Cornered and captured, she was so cruelly caged Repeatedly ravished, she rebelled and raged Scared, scarred and beaten, her spirit still soared Righting wrongs of a lifetime, she resoundingly roared Alone in the ashes, could any hope still abound Where she, facing the fire, by dawns firstlight was found And his tender touches on wings tattered and torn Were masked with love’s magic on that misty morn Out of triumphs and trials, trickled all of her tears Far from the faces of her unfathomed fears In soft spoken words he shouted life to her soul Healing wings that were wounded and making her whole “Do you dare risk it, my sweet, darling dove Abandon all apprehension, to now rise above Fearlessly now, you must first fall to fly” So she leaps, spreading wings, to soar in the sky Wind whispers lightly on feathers of white As fearlessly, gracefully she takes her first flight Soaring, he joins her under soft setting sun In wide open spaces, where two become one To love means never to be afraid of the windstorms of life: should you shield the canyons from the windstorms you would never see the true beauty of their carvings. ~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross |

Ruth, I can see her soaring before me right now. She is beautiful . . . I like this one. The end is wonderful my friend. Lone Wolf Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. --William Wordsworth |

It is wonderful to read about restoring trust and faith. jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Nice little piece, I'm not around that much myself lately but you've got one of those names that hard to miss and I just hate missing your words. Oh by the way RJ read me the story of the red marbles, I to found a tear. Thanks so much for the blessing. Always Dale [This message has been edited by lucky (edited 06-30-2000).] |
