As happy as I am, As happy as they see? Jovial spirit? My sadness can be overwhelming, yet all they see is 'chipper'. I wish in truth I cared to be the way they all perceived me. Everyday "how are you?", And I lie..."good, you?" Never truthful, I'm always plagued. I miss my childhood, I miss the time before betrayal. Before my so-called friends, their so-called issues, And their so-called lives. I miss the me I used to be. |

Wonderful poem! I understand how you feel...I have put on a "happy face" and not told anyone what my troubles are. Everyone thinks you are always supposed to be that happy person who never is sad. I know it hurts! Just keep your chin up. Remember, there is a God who loves you no matter what happens!  Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:3 |

Jenn,(assuming that you actually face this problem in real life) it's never too late to be the "you" that you one were. Or so i think. But personally i dont think its good at all to lose who you WERE, or are now. This has led to me getting alot of heat for it but its how i feel. Well anyway as you can see, this poem somewhat reminds me of me. I enjoyed reading it, and responding to it. Excellent job. Keep it up! |
