everyone thinks my heads on straight
but they dont realize my debate
they think i know what i want to do
but really thats just not true

and i used to agree
i knew what i wanted to be
but now i dont see
and im scared to not be me

i dont know whether to mention it
and risk starting up a fit
or just keep it all to myself
letting it just sit there on the shelf
but what about how i feel
is that just a third wheel
i dont want to miss what i could find
just because im scared to change my mind

is all of this just stupid nonsense
or am i really stuck at this fence
i dont want to crash and burn
this time i want the easy way to learn
they think im on the right track
and they all are at my back
will this come back to haunt
they all think its what i want

i havent posed for a while because football has started and i have no time to even write let alone get online i hope this is a decent one to come back with though i probably wont have more for a while again so sorry i havent been able to reply on any other poems for a while either hopefully things will slow down soon

Hey, I didn't know I had a fellow song writer in this forum. Cool! Are you in a band? I am w/ some of my friends. I'm the vocalist, we're called Valet Parking. Grunge/Punk/Alternative. Anyway though, I like this a lot. It's real, ya know? Good luck w/ the football. In a way I can relate to that taking over your life, cause I play in my school's powderpuff game every year and we have to practice for hours every day after school. I'm a chick, just so you know.
