Farewell My Love By Jessica DeMaio I remember that Night… As if it was a moment that just passed… The rain blasted from the sky… The clouds moved with furry… People sheltered for cover… I gleamed with joy… I smiled with wisdom… I yearned for love… I spoke with grace… I presented myself with pride… I remember your face… Your laughter… Your words… Sand blew with anger… Wind quietly swept by… I made a wish… A dream came true… Although we didn’t kiss that first night… I was given the gift of being with you… Your presence… Your desire… Your warmth… Where did that night go? Goodbye I remember that night as if it was a moment that just passed by… But the goodbye? I shall always deny… Eyes Tear… Hearts bleed… Wishes Fade… But what I gave… Can never be taken back… I gave my heart… I gave my soul… I gave my all… So why must I cry…? Why must I feel that part of me has died…? All I have is each memory… So here I am to say goodbye… To let my past go… To walk away… This is not only a goodbye… This is a farewell… This is an end… For my love… You have disappeared… In the midst of days… Of hours… Of seconds… No matter how many goodbye’s we will ever say… Or how many hearts we ever touch… We both most remember… Although time has deepened us… You were my first… You were my love… You were my friend… I may not see you… Or ever speak to you again… But I will always remember that first Night… As if it was a moment that just passed… Farewell My love |
