Hey everyone. I wrote this poem a few months ago, but lupigirls post "Giving You To Jesus" reminded me of it. So I decided to post it. It's for my best friend, Brittney, who has been struggling with suicidal emotions. I've spent so many hours worrying about her and this poem was my last attempt to get through to her. Fortunately, I think it worked. She's doing a lot better now.  ~<3 Alwayz~ **Nikki** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Forever Remembrance* If ever you feel depressed and alone, Don't hesitate to pick up the phone. Do you realize how much I care? I don't know what I'd do if you weren't here. Why do u want your life to end? Please don't do it-I can't lose my best friend. I'm so worried and scared that you'll do something dumb. Please don't do this, It isn't fun. I know that if you really want to, You're going to end your life. But I wish you'd realize, There's other ways to end your strife. You aren't alone, We're all here for you. If you're gone tomorrow, What will we do? Tough it out, Deal with it. I don't like feeling that your death match has been lit. If you decide to end it all, I won't get over it-I'll trip and fall. But in your dying moment please know: Your my Best Friend, I love you so much, and I can't watch you go. |

Awww Snickers this brought a tear to my eye, truly it did. No one should have to watch someone they love go through something so horrible. I can relate unfortunately. But I'm glad that your friend is doing better. You should be very proud of yourself - by writing this poem and caring about her so much, you just may have saved her life, and that, my friend, is an incredible thing. Wow, that was really good! Thanks for sharing it with me, because it really is encouraging to hear that people are going through the same thing as me. I'm SO glad your friend is doing better, but you can guaruntee she'll be in my prayers. Keep writing from the heart!! |

Well, unfortunately I've been in your friends shoes. Suicide is just not good at all. It's serious business. When you want to kill yourself, nothing matters. Your friend needs help. Don't scare your friend by saying how could you be so selfish and all these other things. And don't say you understand if u don't. Your friend is very fragile right now and needs your suppport. First I must say, great poem!! Now, to my thoughts and feelings: funny how it seems not a single person these days doesn't go throught these thought or emotions, on either side. I know not only five months ago I was in your postition, and yes, I know how tough it is! If you stick by your girl, she'll make it through, I promise. Things will get better and in the end God will reward you for your great efforts in keeping your friend and frinedship alive. Great poem! Micale |

I'm so glad you wrote this for your friend...it definitely seems like something that would make a person see what they would do to someone close to them if they decided to end their life. Very powerful and well written. Thanx everyone for replying!! It really means a lot to me that you guyz appreciate this poem for what it is, which is really a heartfelt plea. I was one of the ppl who told our guidance counselor about Britt's suicide threats and she has since gotten alot of help. I think she now realizes how much ppl care about her and hopefully she will continue to love life. Thanx again guyz!! ~<3 Alwayz~ **Nikki** |
