it is the point of life
around this all else rotates
but there are some who dont know this
so with them we must debate

we, the poets, are best suited
best fitted to putting this down on page
it is one of the few things
that all poets share, no matter the age

it gives the best high on earth
and can last for a lifetime without end
but when its gone it leaves a void
that is the hardest of all to mend

it is a dangerous game we play
that depends on not luck or skill
and although these things might get it started
to win takes detirmination and power of will

you need not yearn for it
it will come in its own time
when you are ready for it
then it will make your life sublime

it has great power some say
some say it can slow time
and the first time it finds you
you will cross some imaginary line

the first time changes people
permantly alters their view of life
it can show people things never seen
things like pain and suffereing and strife

it is the most powerful force
it can do things nothing else can
it can change life and death
and has control over every human

what is it?

plez post ur guesses, or comments, and email me for the awnser
thanks everybody!

my guess: love

At first I was thinking inspiration, but then I got to the end and well....duh....love.  Great riddle.  I've got one that I'm not sure if I posted yet.  If I haven't , I will.

I'm gonna have to agree..I was thinking love too (but that seems too easy, so i'm not 100% sure)

Well I was way off on the last one that you put out here so I'm just going to go with everybody else and say love.  By the way you got my vote on this one.  I think its quite cool what you do.
