A dad cares for you right when your born
they never stop loving you you love them too
then one day they notice that your different
you get surgeries and you don't know what your doing
he stays with you in the hospital.

But one day your dad has cancer
he gets surgeries you are scared
he loses his hair you see him cry
like you did when you were in pain.

He takes care of you
one day you have another surgery
and you body can't take it
your body gets worse
he stays with you.

After you go home your in pain
he tells you calm down hunny it's okay
he stays up with you all night cares for you
he tells you I love you.

A few years later he's getting weaker
cause of his cancer and he is slowly dying
you don't know what to do other than cry
he talks to you.

He takes you out to the mall
lets you have freedom like
everyone else in the world
he treats you like you don't have a disability
you say Daddy I love you.

One night he ends up in the hospital
you visit him every day
then you know he's dying soon
you spend all your time in the hospital.

You wonder what your boyfriends doing
but you want to stay with your dad
until you and family are ready to go home
you say "I love you" he says the same.

The next day you find out
he died of cancer
you cry
want him back.

Everyone tells you
he loves you
cares about you
and you'll always be his little special girl.

With love,
~*~Minna~*~

Your relationship with your father was and still is, very special Minna ... he must have been a wonderful man. Your memories describe a very caring and loving father ... hugs to you at this difficult time of remembrance.

Best wishes,
/Kit

This is such a sad and touching piece, my friend. It had to be hard to lose your father, but you still have his love to carry with you. I'm sure he's looking down on you and is proud of what you have done. This is a beautiful tribute. Thank you for sharing it with us.
