Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
Vreni

We Never Win

W hite sanitarium, clean and bright,
E radicates happiness with it’s dark light.
N ow begins yearning towards yonder Styx,
E arly perceptions the tender mind pricks.
V engeful scissors of Atropos fetter
E ager to etch a consciousness better.
R ancored passions deform, leave scars.
W indowless prison without any bars.
I ncandescent glow shines from within
N aught a soul that saves itself from sin.

Wonderful acrostic Vreni!  These are tough to do in free form, but even harder to have them rhyme so beautifully as you've done ... very nicely penned!

Best wishes,
/Kit
