Memories I used to live on memories, Can't do that today. I used to think I can't survive, On life and its everydays. I used to that that freedom had the power to cure, But now I look at Palestine and can't believe hearts are pure. I used to know reality as an ugly subexsistance, Look at where it's taken me, in reality's own predicaments. I used to be optimistic even when it came to being true. Can't you see truth has led me to an ugly tangled youth. I used to love each moment when I could me alone, Suclusion has now led me to the point of being torn. I used to find my comfort in the ink of this pen, Now this pen has dripped of pain that you yourself have sent. I used to think God gave everyone the chance to find their wealth, But now you see that ones damned from the moment they walked the Earth. I can't believe I used to think, the world a pleasent race. Look at what you've done to me and tell me how pleasent you've made my place! [This message has been edited by Ron (06-25-2011 10:05 AM).] |

Excellent job on this poem! It's good to see you posting again I think the poem is really good because it has such a serious tone. The way you started every other line with "I" made the poem seem so personal. I love the way you've written this and I hate that what's happening over there is happening. This was great. Hope all is well! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

hey Salooma --- don't lose hope. The seriousness of your poem has just made me feel bad, but that's ok. Nothing compared to what others have to face. I guess reality does hurt. Keep your head up. I'll have you in my prayers I see no changes, wake up in the morning I ask myself, "Is life worth living or should I blast myself" TUPAC SHAKUR |
