has the evil smile
of the Archduke of Happiness
held true.
for long it has.

is it perhaps
because of some plan he has?
or is it maybe
something we cant understand?

the Dutches died,
months ago it was.
her ghost still roams.
for long it has.

the castles built
in the nothingness of time;
the roads that take you
to the vanishing dream of reality.
the architect we cant understand.

the smile is one of fear.
the smile is one of hope.
has the Archduke gone mad?

I read this one a couple times and didn't get it at first but now I think I do. Nicely done! And just a side question, how long have you been writing poems?

ive been writting poetry like since ninth (like dopey).
cant really give a date cause i dont date my work. (maybe i should)

Yes, me and san started around the same time. Oddly enough.....san and me are STILL writing. Good job my boy!
Anyway the poem was interesting.......And yes, I think the archduke went mad because happiness , like you said, comes in many forms.....and damnit.....sometimes people just don't know how to get the archduke to converse with them a bit. I would think being lonely is a pisser
