This is a poem I wrote when I was going through a very tough time.. please check it out, and let me know what you think  )I know that there are things Tucked in the back of my mind They are 10 reasons to live 10 reasons I can not find I was told number 10 is laughter It cures your empty aching heart It heals you when you're lonely And feel like your tearing apart I overheard number 9 is happiness Which I am yet to understand and see It helps you cheer up others And you feel completely free I think number 8 is friendship It makes you feel complete And when you find a true friend The devil you have beat I read number 7 is peacefulness Something the world is yet to find Some people have peace in their body And some have peace in their mind I believe number 6 is faithfulness Which is something I have lost It brings you close to friends And has absolutely no cost I was told number 5 is freedom I know I took advantage of it I was sent off like a flame A match that was just lit I heard number 4 is trust What does this word mean? Someone said it gives your friends A shoulder upon you to lean I think that number 3 is love It fills up your heart with joy But if you happen to abuse it You'll be played with like a toy I understand number 2 is lessons Important things that you learn Yet if you make mistakes more than once Your heart and soul will burn Finally number 1 is life itself You must take it for all it's worth Always live it to it's fullest To your slow death from your birth Those 10 things are nothing I have Nor experianced or understand I abuse my life in every way And every helping hand Those 10 things, I know they are there They are in the back of my jumbled mind But that is where they will have stay Until one who understands I will find |

this poem i really love, especially the stanza: "I read number 7 is peacefulness Something the world is yet to find Some people have peace in their body And some have peace in their mind" i really like the part about the body and mind, for some reason that part really reached me anyway, the whole poem is really good and i love it alot, i really think that this should be in a book somewhere(i did vote for it afterall...) thx for lettin me read  CLB always follow your heart, never follow others unless it is truely where you want to go, and never give up a dream, maybe just set it aside for a while... :) |

man is this such a beautiful poem...my favorite number is 10 because when i am depressed laughter is the only thing that can keep my mind from thinking of what is going on...i really hope to see this in the book...but with the trust part there isnt anyone out there that you can really trust except for yourself (at least thats the way i see it)...and the friendship one...you one have a once in a lifetime friend that will be there till the end the rest of them are just a bunch of fakes who leave your life just as quick as they came into it... ~IF YOU WANT SOMETHING VERY BADLY~SET IT FREE~IF IT COMES BACK TO YOU~ITS YOURS FOREVER~IF IT DOESNT IT WAS NEVER YOURS TO BEGIN WITH~ |

Welcome to Passions!! This is a suburb first post! I really really love this poem. I actually happen to be in a pretty depressed mood right now b/c of alot of crap, but your poem did help me feel better. 10 reasons to live is enough for me!! Welcome to Passions. This is a great first post. It's nice to see that even though you maybe going through a rough time that you find a bright side to something. I expecially liked the line about love. About how if you abuse it that you will eventually be the one played with. Good first poem here!!! THis was a great poem. I loved the use of the numbers. I do think that it takes people a while to find all ten, but once they do, it is the greatest feeling. I hope you find them all soon. I can't wait to read more of your writing! |
