The day came sooner than expected,
I let you slip away.

The days went by one by one,
I never thought that day would come.

And when I saw you walk down the asile,
you looked taller, and happier than ever before.

It almost looked as if,
your feet weren't touching the floor.

I wish you never had to go away,
or this day never came our way.

But I guess it's a way of life,
and if God told me once, He'll tell me twice.

Everything will be "all right,"
there won't be a worry in my life.

Trouble won't come my way,
as long as I know that your Okay.

In my heart you'll always stay,
I love you so, don't go away....

~This is for Thomas, he is my older brother, and my best friend...give me tips, and help me on the title please. He graduated with the class of 2000, God Bless~

You are extremely lucky to have that kind of kinship and closeness with a family member. and i know what he and you are going thru. i, too, must leave the school i attended. i'll be a senior next year, but i'm leaving some great people behind because i'm moving. and like i told my friends, it's only the end for those who choose not to remember.  He's still with ya, and you two won't be like friends. you're family. that's not a bond that is easily broken.
and as for a title, sadly my mind drifts to blink 182. "going away to college".  the title will be inspired by the feelings of your heart. give it a little time and a little thought.
