Okay you guys who are feeling down, read this...

Misfortunes cannot determine our life,
We are young, powerful and individual,
We must learn to override any misgivings,
We can turn it all around, and carry on up.

Jealous people cannot deviate us from our goals,
We just frown upon them and leave them behind,
They just sit and wonder why we moved on,
As we move on to live and achieve our targets.

Parents cannot control our lives,
They can guide, advise and comfort us,
But we strive to reach independence,
We want to learn for ourselves what the world is like.

Arguments with loved ones cannot bring us down,
They can hurt, upset and anger us,
But we'll get over it in heart, mind and soul,
After all it's OUR life that we control.

I sincerely wish my life could be like that!
I like the poem though very well put and thoughtful in my opinion. Keep up the great work.

Wow! I only wish I wasn’t such a pessimist…

Myself aside, I think this will definitely put smiles on people’s faces. That is one of the greatest rewards one could ask for.
