I can still feel it on me Though "it" i cant actually see Even through the passing of Father Time's sands The deceased man's blood on my hands Through fear of punishment, i have yet to come clean For ending the man's misery, and leaving bloody, the scene I'am the unforgiven, who extinguished his light Then fled like a dog, under the cover of darkest night Escaped from the People's wrath, through fleeing, and lies Though much like Cain*, ive been forced to break all ties Such is the life I will never know again As the beginning of my eternal punishment- My secret sin Though ive escaped the punishment of my peers, and more eternal fate awaits the depraved As such I must now live with the secret, and take it to my grave Through all this i know the unforgiving fires of Damnation await, I wish to save my soul, but by now, it's far too late. Though legally im innocent, no comfort it brings For deep in my soul, and my head forever, i hear God's judgement ring. (*In the Blble, Cain was the first murderer who killed his brother Abel, and was forced to flee home, and forever be a fugitive.) -"!!!" [This message has been edited by !!! (edited 08-14-2000).] |
