I strolled with my fancy a bit today Across the hills, by a lost highway That was lined with trees and shadow barred, Green with grasses and daisy starred! It wasn't a highway that one would know Or even where anyone else could go, For it led over the hills that I dreamed were there And the flowers were only in fancy fair! Where I visioned a tree, I found it so... And merely a thought made the blossoms grow, So really it wasn't so strange, you see, That you should be walking there with me! And that hand in hand our way we found Over the space of enchanted ground; The beat of our hearts an echo's ring To the lilting notes that the larks would sing! The willows were weeping, but not from woe, Simply because we had named them so... For us their leaves were fairy lace The wind blew, laughing, across our face! The way was crooked, and each new turn Was veiled with leaves and fronds of fern, And here and there a pool would shine As blue as the eyes you turned to mine! So now when I'm weary, I've only to start Afresh on a journey with eager heart, Out of the shadows and into the day... And over the hills of my fancied way! |

Dear Rex In Hindi we have a saying "Ek Se Barh Ke Ek" Which means "Each better than the previous one". You do have a wonderful talent and I feel you are a great poet! And the last verse I take the liberty to write : Knowing that I only have to make a wish And you will appear out of the misty past Bathing me with the light of your tender love Forever to be with me - At Last! Oh, I think this needs to be reposted in the other forums for those who might not see it here... I know that road... but I don't think I could expound on a compliment any better than Deepak did... very well written... simply great! If all was light...then I would have never learnt the dark...from which such truth evolves from which evolves the light... Avanti Rao |

Rex, Your name is well deserved, as you are indeed a King of Words! I enjoyed this so much. Where would we be without our dreams? BTW: Hey, you’re a cowboy! I hadn’t expected that! Lotharingia "Dreams are life, reality, creation" Miguel de Unanumo |
