the hours slip by slowly, as the day runs through to night, his evil presence surronds you, to live you must take flight. you feel forever connected, his blood pumps through your heart, you sence he's always watching, and you'll never be apart. the unholy hour arrives, you have no where safe to go, he's soon to find you hiding, this you surly know. you see his face, a look of evil upon him, his eyes fill with lust, a deadly sin. he takes your hand, his skin feels cool to the touch, temptation runs through you being, yet you know only horror will come of such. the light from heaven flows down to you, a wonderful hand from above, the Devil is cast away, as is his twisted perversion of Love. EVEN ANGELS FALL. |

great ending, but even a greater beginning my friend. Good work Ronil (What I say I live by and what I live by is what I create). |

I have danced that dance many times with the Devil...I am thankful now that I recognize the music enough to turn him away...great piece, it really struck a chord (no pun intended!) |

I see two readings in this poem...one, the literal version of the devil...the other, the analogous lover. Very nice work. Enjoyed it. Hardrock [This message has been edited by Hardrock (edited 07-21-2000).] |
