This Moment of Pain Sometimes this silence is insane... feeling so lost in this moment of pain. Wondering if I will ever hear his voice again. Will my love reach him in that shell he hides in. Understanding all the reasons why he hides away, protecting his very exsistance from the pain. Do I sit beside the shell, gently knocking once in a while hoping he will let me in, or do I walk away loving him just the same? The tears won't stop running no matter what i do. Maybe he doesn't understand, I too feel the pain! This silence is like thunder and lightening crashing around me. The anger of his emotions i feel running through out my soul. Each strike bringing on a wave of over whelming sorrow, tearing away at me.... does he see, I too feel the pain. I feel my love adrift, lost in a world where only he holds the key. Does he see me holding out my hand to him, calling his name? Wondering, does he feel my tears as I feel his ... in this moment of pain? Trisha4u 6-15-2000 2:10pm pst. Thank you Click, this poem started out as a letter written for someone dear to me who lost a child recently. This is only my second attempt at expressing my thoughts in this fashion, I am truely a newbee. I appreciate your kind words. ![]() |

What a poewerful piece of writing! You express so well that feeling we have when we want to help someone, or at least show them we care, but we don't know how to get through to them. Very well done! Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |

As I was reading through this great poem of yours, it reminded me of my mother-in-law, whose husband was involved in a horrible accident, where a young man was accidently killed. He's not the same person. I believe she feels just this way. Do you mind if I share this with her? This really moved me. Thank you for sharing. |

in answer yes kid you wait and knock every once in a while, or just sit and be there, like the three friends of job, they didn't say a thing but just offered support by being there, in the end all was put right. Know that we are all here for you also, you can vent or cry here and we will support you. with all that we can. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Trisha, your words are very touching. I know the feeling of someone holding back, not letting you close. And I think that they don't know we hurt too, becaause they are too far behind the door. |
