A dark shimmer do the moonbeams cast, Like a mirror reflecting the shadows of my thoughts. Wind-rippled waters in a murky trough, Like a caricature of my Love's battle fought. Danger I ignored, when a plunge I took, Into the chapters of unchartered bleakness, Alas, I should have looked. A shore ahead, nay, i cannot see, Is this the tragedy, of Love's cruel immortality? |
