HANGING OUT, HANGING ON I don’t go out to movies, I don’t go out to bars. I don’t go out to shopping malls, I don’t drive around in cars. I stay within my boundaries, I stay within these walls. I stay within this house I’ve built, Waiting for my calls. I wait for phones that never ring, I wait for mail each day. I wait for my heart to sing, But I waste my life away. There are no letters in my mail, No one rings my phone. While life crawls past me like a snail, I’m hanging out…and hanging on. Marv Hardin 07/11/00 |

Oh boy, you did it again. Thats me, waiting for an email, waiting for the phone, waiting for a word or two, to not feel so alone... As always, awesome poem. Sandra |

As long as we have this and music, perhaps we can hang on a bit longer..... good poem Jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Sometimes when we are alone, truly we are touch with ourselves. Great as always my friend. Ronil (What I say I live by and what I live by is what I create). |

~Hanging out, Hanging on,...oh Hardrock, (imagine me slapping you on the back),...(hehe) gosh did you nail this. As Cat said,...checking the mail and the message machine. Ha. Waiting. Just know this,...life may be crawling past you like a snail but you make an impact here and everywhere. You are doing more than hanging out. Heck,...seems like my life is not crawling but sprinting like a cheetah...aaaahhh. Take care you k? *Peace. ~See,..earlier I was saying that I wish you guys could hear me...I was growling like a cheetah noise. Sometimes just my noises can be my reply,..you know. Like a sigh or a scream or a sobbing cry, or a laugh,..you know? Ok ok,.I'm done. [This message has been edited by SpitFire (edited 07-11-2000).] |

I just *love* your poems! I know this feeling, too! Can't go out and grab life by the scruff of the neck and make it love us like we know we should. We become passive, and then get forgotten. Lotharingia "For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?" Tom Holland |
