The sky is dark, the rain is falling as I lie here in bed. The thoughts, the emotions, the memories that are running thru my head. I have been trying to understand the silence, the lack of your words. I have been struggling, waiting for the uplifting singing of the birds. To wonder back in time, not so far passed by. The happiness in my heart was racing high in the sky. Many things have bee said, many words tossed about. I feel they have cast a shadow, a wall of doubt. The love in my heart for you remains the same. Many will tell you, to me this is all a game. You know me, I wear my heart on my sleeve, you have heard it in my voice. The things that have happened, all the hurt caused was not my choose. I know that words mean so little, but the silence cuts deep. The disappointment, the hurt, the pain makes my heart weep. To read your words, or hear your voice again. Its the only way to help the pain and hurt start to mend. All I have ever wanted was for you to be happy, to love and be loved the way you deserve to be. And this I hope you can truly see. As I bring to an end the words from my heart deep within. I can only hope for the emotional healing to begin. |

I know what you mean!!! Good one. Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. -William Wordsworth- |

The emotional healing can seem to take forever, time seems to stall when we are in pain. Nicely done!! |
