REPLACED BY LIFE: Earthly bound, the laws of life Dictate how much I may love you Only to here, only in this way For normality revolves around two When we met we were one and one Both hurting and singularly alone Reaching out towards each other To a friendship both could call their own But life is hard and usually unfair As we'd both discovered before So, solace found in shared experience Understanding exploded through love's door You were the first to not reject And always understand You loved regardless, and kept alive Hope; as you took me by the hand Never in my life was anything unconditional Before your faith, love and care Amidst the many things you said You promised to always be there Drawn, magnetised, iron to iron As one man sharpens another I held on to the only safe thing Your love became my cover Closer together, circumstances aside I thought we were deeper involved But though you loved me, your feelings differed "In motivation," though, "not depth," you told Forever together, bound by love A friendship to withstand time and space So I thought, and I really believed it Now another's taken my place It hurts even to see your face. |

Hey now, very good. Sad, but true. Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility. -William Wordsworth- |
